How To Downgrade Chrome

As the name suggests, today we are going to discuss a very controversial topic and that is “How to downgrade chrome”. Actually if I have to advise you something on this I would probably tell you not to downgrade chrome anyway. I am saying this topic as controversial because neither Google nor we recommend you to use older versions of Google chrome. But still the need for downgrading chrome can arise for instance: if some of your software’s are incompatible with the new release or you don’t like the look and feel of the newly released version. Then in these cases there is no option other than downgrading.

So, we quickly go to the steps for chrome downgrade:

how to downgrade chrome

1. First of all go to the “Control Panel > Uninstall a program” and uninstall Google chrome.

2. Now even after the uninstall the user profile is left behind in the chrome and this user profile is incompatible with the newer versions so now you have to manually delete this profile.

3. This User profile can be found here:

  • In Windows XP:  %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome
  • In Windows 7 and Vista:   %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Google Chrome

4. Now Restart your computer.

5. After restarting the computer you can now install the older stable versions of Google chrome.

6. You can get the older chrome installers below:

Please make a note of one important thing, after installing older Google chrome versions you won’t be able to auto upgrade it online.

Print Preview in Google Chrome

If you have a habit of printing webpages then chrome would not have have been a good choice for you earlier. But now google has done its homework and this time they are back with chrome 13. Now in chrome 13 you can print webpages more efficiently. This enhancement is print preview in google chrome.

Chrome 13 is different because it has a special feature that uses a built in PDF plugin to convert the page you want to print into a pdf file and along with it there is also another feature that shows the print preview of the page.

If you hit Ctrl+P in chrome 13 a nifty frame opens up on the right side of the browser, giving you all sorts of options to print the page as you like. This improved print functionality also allows you print a two sided copy, hence helps in saving paper too.

Well I can’t wait anymore! And I am thinking to try this out soon.

Who unfriended you on facebook ??

Are you a power facebooker?? Do you have many friends on facebook and want to know who among your friends has unfriended you?? Well today I am going to guide you on how to know who unfriended you on facebook.

As we all know, Facebook is lacking this feature and it doesn’t bother notifying you that who has unfriended you. But by using some simple hacks you can keep a track of people who have unfriended you on facebook.

First Way:- The first solution is a greesemonkey script called Unfriend Finder for Facebook that you can integrate with your browser and it will notify you whenever anyone unfriends you on facebook. The only problem with the script is that it only supports few browsers like firefox, opera, chrome and safari. This script adds an Unfriends menu to your Facebook sidebar and an Unfriends link to the top right side of your account.

  • Chrome users can get it here
  • Firefox users can get it here. But they need to have Greesemonkey script already installed.
  • Opera users can get it here

Second Way:- The second way is using an external service called Who.deleted.me. Who.deleted.me lets you find out who among your facebook friends have deleted you.

  • Simply go to the website and click the button that says Login with facebook.
  • Now you will be prompted by facebook connect to allow the app to acess your account info. Click on “Allow and use”.
  • From now onwards whenever anyone unfriends you on facebook you will receive an email notification for that.
Now by using any of the above mentioned tricks you can find who has unfriended you on facebook.

!! Happy facebooking !!
